Hawthorne-King makes Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK their charity of the year

All at HKRM are keen to endorse Make-A-Wish; we would greatly appreciate your support should you submit your CV to us for future employment. They receive no government funding or lottery grants, relying on the generous donations of the public and that’s why, for this charity, your donation really counts.

Hawthorne King Risk Management is proud to support this amazing charity. HKRM have formed a partnership with Make-A-Wish to help raise funds to help grant even more magical wishes. We have also pledged to support Make-A-Wish with HKRM’s professional services if required.

Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK has a very simple objective - to grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. The charity was founded in the UK in 1986 and since then we have granted over 4,900 wishes.

Their wishes are truly magical. A small and dedicated team of professional wishgranters work alongside hundreds of volunteers to turn our children’s wishes into reality. Whether a wish is to be a princess or a policeman for a day, own the latest computer equipment, meet a favourite celebrity or just enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child’s life and provides memories for the family that last a lifetime.

With over 20,000 children in the UK living with life-threatening conditions at any one time, their work is never ending. Make-A-Wish’s goal is to be able to grant 1,000 wishes a year as this will allow every child living with a life-threatening illness the chance to experience the magic of a wish within their life time.
